Cleansing oils

Hydrophilic cleansers effectively remove waterproof makeup and sebum (based on the "oil dissolves oil" principle), making them a great option for oily-prone skin. However, we don’t recommend hydrophilic products for dry skin. Dry skin already lacks sufficient sebum, and using an oil cleanser will strip it further, worsening the dryness.

How to use hydrophilic oil?

1. Apply the hydrophilic oil/balm with dry hands to a dry face and massage for 40-60 seconds.
2. Wet your hands with water and massage your face again — at this stage, the oil will emulsify, turning into a milky consistency.
3. Rinse off the oil residue with water.
4. It’s ESSENTIAL to follow up with a gel/foam cleanser.

Is it suitable for acne-prone skin?

Understanding that hydrophilic oils and balms can be somewhat "risky" for acne-prone skin is also important. They may cause comedones and aggravate breakouts, and this is a very individual matter. Therefore, the only way to know if an oil will suit your skin is to test it out personally.

What you absolutely must avoid:

Never perform a facial massage using hydrophilic oil.
